Climbing Munros is often classed as the epitome of Scottish walking; the challenge of climbing all 283 becomes a life time’s challenge for some, with others trying to do it in a year. For some it is a challenge to achieve just one.
There is such a variety in Scotland that it is possible for most people to manage one. We can be there to help you achieve your first munro – perhaps just one hill, or maybe even the completion one of the classic routes such as the Cruachan horseshoe. The challenges are out there for you.

Here's a few to whet your appetite.
How about?
Ben Cruachan
Either just to achieve the summit or to complete the classic horseshoe which is the icon of the Argyll area.
Ben Sgulaird
This mountain stands alone and the ascent is from sea level so you climb every foot of it! Once on the summit, you have uninterrupted views of the area – weather permitting of course.
Beinn a' Chochuill and Beinn Eunaich
These two hills are usually done as a day from the Strath of Orchy and from the top you have wonderful views of the Cruachan ridge.
Ben Starav
This impressive mountain stands like a guardian at the head of Loch Etive and can be done on its own or you can include Glas Bheinn Mhor and Beinn nan Aighenan by having a night out camping.
There are over 30 munros in the Argyll area so there is plenty of choice and scope for all levels of fitness.
