Midsummer Three Day Remote Camping Trip
With its long days and warmer weather, mid-summer is an ideal time to go camping, and this trip will give you two nights camping in an area full of flora and fauna and at this wonderful time of year.
We meet in the morning of the first day and spend a short while sorting out gear before setting off to our camp site. The walk in is along easy tracks and along the way we may see deer, raptors, golden plovers, skylarks, and even snow buntings.
After a good feast in the evening, you can sit and take in the peace and quiet of this glen and appreciate how short the night is.
The next day we leave the tents were they are and go light. From here we will move up to alpine level in search of many alpine flowers, some quite rare, as well as mountain hares, ptarmigan, dotterel and deer.
On the last morning, we have a leisurely breakfast before a steady walk out the way we went in.
You need a reasonable level of fitness as we do take in one of Argyll's remoter munros
This trip includes all necessary equipment, tents, all camping equipment, all food and drinks over the period.
You need to bring good boots, warm clothing and waterproofs, and you will need to carry some gear.

The Deer Rut
Autumn can be a magical time of year with the hills alive with the sounds of stags roaring, and the clash of antlers. This overnight trip into the heart of the moorland offers you the opportunity to experience this autumn deer rut at close quarters.
The first day we walk along easy tracks over a mountain pass and set up the tents in a position to give us a good vantage point to look for herds of deer.
The nights are longer at this time of year, so after a good dinner, we will sit by a small fire (hopefully under the stars) looking out over the mountains with a wee dram before being lulled to sleep by the distance sounds of the stags roaring!!
In the morning early risers will be able to sit outside and watch the deer.
This trip includes all necessary equipment, tents, all camping equipment, all food and drinks over the period.
You need to bring good boots, warm clothing and waterproofs, and you will need to carry some gear.
